I am an experienced sustainability educator, arts-based curriculum designer, and facilitator of ecological, project-based learning. My passion is nurturing curiosity, creativity, compassion, and community through interdisciplinary, place-based education, with a particular enthusiasm for linking science and art. I believe that education should deepen our connections to the people around us and the places in which we live and learn. I am a collaborative and interdisciplinary thinker and learner, and I share this with students, teachers and colleagues. Curiosity is my super power.

Currently, I am the managing director of the University of Chicago's Warren Woods Ecological Field Station. I am also the director of Marram Collaborative, an educational design and consulting company that works with educators and organizational leaders to create place-engaged experiences that awaken the ecological imagination and empower communities to care for the earth and one another. I also co-facilitate several local community projects related to food sovereignty, waste reduction, and community care for my city and county through ecological experiences and place-based learning.
