FIELDGUIDES INC, a small non profit has been taking school students and youth groups camping for over 30 years. This direct experience and involvement with nature has an amazing impact on a young person's connection with the importance of stewardship and conservation.  The impact of taking people out of the city and into the woods is all important to gaining a full respect and understanding of the natural world. For that reason FIELDGUIDES urges teachers to make environmental education more than just a part of the classroom curriculum and take it to the places where young people can be completely immersed in it.
