Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences provides two options for those interested in EE: a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resource Management with Environmental Education Specialization and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Extension Education with Environmental Science Option, which meets Pennsylvania Department of Education teaching certification requirements. Penn State's Shaver's Creek Environmental Center offers the Student Engagement and Experiential Discovery (SEED) Semester of learning for students interested in environmental and outdoor education. The semester offers an excellent opportunity to take courses in environmental education methods, interpretation, and park management on the center's 7,000 acres.
The SEED Semester is an NAAEE-accredited higher education program.
