EcoRise: Sustainability & Classroom Grants: Central/South TX

This event is for K-12 classroom teachers in Central & South, Texas.

Learn how teachers can empower students to become “environmental superheroes” within their communities using the classroom and their school as a laboratory for sustainability based problem-solving.

Join us to learn about EcoRise's Sustainable Intelligence K-12 environmental education curriculum. Hear from Austin ISD EcoRise Ambassador Teacher/Instructional Coach, Steven Morris. Steven will share his experience with teaching sustainability in the classroom. Learn the steps needed to apply for student-led, Eco-Audit classroom grants. Consider having your students apply for an Eco-Audit grant. This session will help you get ready for the process.

Eco-Audit grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis for grant awards up to $500.

This workshop will be held via Zoom. Reserve your ticket on Eventbrite to receive a confirmation email and Zoom link prior to the workshop. Please ensure your camera and video are working in advance of the workshop.

*Teachers who attend will have access to the EcoRise Sustainable Intelligence K-12 curriculum, support and classroom micro-grants. Teachers in Austin ISD will receive exchange days and CPU credit. All attendees are eligible to win a raffle prize mailed directly to their home or campus.
