2026 Climate Education Knowledge Sharing Convening

The 2026 Climate Education Knowledge Sharing Convening: What to expect

You are invited to join the 2026 Climate Education Knowledge Sharing Convening, a free virtual event hosted by the Center for Sustainable Futures at Teachers College, Columbia University, in partnership with LEAP (Learning the Earth with Artificial Intelligence and Physics) at Columbia University.

The convening will take place July 20–23, 2026 and combines daily 60-minute live sessions with self-paced exploration of curated resources and practical tools. To accommodate participants across time zones, each live session will be offered twice daily (9:00 AM and 12:00 PM ET). Recordings will also be available.

Drawing on three years of collaboration with New York City Public Schools, we will share research, practical resources, and professional learning models while exploring how schools of education can prepare current and future educators to engage with climate education.

The convening is intended for faculty, instructors, researchers, and program leaders in schools of education. Whether you are deeply engaged in climate education or just beginning to explore the field, we would be delighted to have you join us.
