NAAEE’s accreditation program provides a clear, yet flexible, path forward for excellence in training the next generation of environmental educators. This webinar will provide you with a space to listen and learn, as well as provide input and share your experiences. Together, we will share ideas about how accreditation can ensure that colleges and universities prepare graduates for careers in environmental education and being successful in their work.

Becca Franzen is a Professor of Environmental Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, an NAAEE accredited program. She oversees accreditation for college and university programs for the North American Association for Environmental Education.

Becky Thomas is an Associate Professor of Parks and Conservation at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She played a leading role in securing NAAEE accreditation for SRU’s online MEd in Environmental Education in 2020 and currently serves on the NAAEE accreditation team.

Lucy McClain is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management Department at Penn State University. She is the primary course instructor for SUST 200: Foundations of Leadership in Sustainability and RPTM 430: Environmental Education Methods and Materials.
