National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Marine Sanctuary Program education mission is to enhance public awareness, understanding and appreciation of the marine environment. Features the Dive Into Education Marine Science Program for teachers to support ocean literacy in the classroom; and the Living Classrooms program, an ocean field studies program for teacher and student teams to participate in activities focused on marine sanctuaries and ocean conservation. The NOAA Office of National Marine Sanctuaries aims to provide teachers with resources and training to support ocean literacy in America's classrooms. National marine sanctuaries are living classrooms that can be explored in person or through interactive digital labs and activities.
