What’s in store for your fundraising in 2022? With many organizations facing unprecedented fundraising challenges and as well as opportunities since 2020, one thing is clear – fundraising is not just about money, it requires a deeper commitment to building meaningful relationships with donors and to developing a sound, strategic approach. 

Join us as we explore effective methods of raising money and creating a resource development plan. You will be guided from "the ask" to "the acknowledgement" so you can create a donor journey that draws people closer to your mission and impact and expands your base of support. 

This interactive workshop is designed for staff, board members, and volunteers who want to strengthen the ways they engage donors and secure essential funding. Look for some advance assignments to help shape the content to your needs as you plan for 2022!

Suggested Pre Session Work:
Session participants can complete one of the following assignments one week before the workshop. Once complete, please send your work to Michelle Pearce, Program Coordinator, at programs@eenc.org.

Share a fundraising success from this past year that could be shared with your colleagues. Briefly describe the situation and success, and share an image or screenshot if available.  

• Potential topics: success with a specific donor segment (e.g., new donors, millennials, women, lapsed donors, etc.), monthly giving program, online giving, small business engagement, peer-to-peer fundraising, planned giving, etc.
• Share a specific challenge or fundraising priority you have for this year. We might share the topics and questions without attribution in our session, and we won’t share your specific input in any identifying way.

Please “bring” a copy to the session (for your own reference) of:

• A recent donor acknowledgement letter, or
• An appeal letter or email

Logistics:
This workshop will be held on Zoom and is eligible for 2 hours of Criteria III/Continuing Ed for the NC EE Certification.

21st Century EE Skills is a series of short workshops (2hours each) to help educators build the "other duties as assigned" that have now become integral to their jobs either as professional educators or program managers. These workshops go beyond an informational webinar, offering interactive, in-depth explorations of a single topic. This workshop series will be held by the Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC) in partnership with the North Carolina Association for Environmental Education Centers (NCAEEC).
