Interested in working toward climate solutions? Want to learn more about how to talk to people about climate change? This 4-week online course covers the basics of climate change, from science to action, and will assist you in developing a consistent climate message.

Join a network of teachers from across the country dedicated to bringing science, critical thinking, and problem solving about climate change into the classroom! The Summer Institute for Climate Change Education will be held June 26-28, 2018 at St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN. Registration: $200; Lodging: $37/night in double room on campus; 22 Clock Hours.

This online course provides environmental professionals with a practical introduction to the strategies, methods, and tools of environmental communication that effectively lead to changes in behavior, primarily using social marketing. The field-based skills gained through this course will benefit all practicing environmental professionals faced with the challenge of changing behaviors.

Teaching Environmental Education is a 3 credit course taught through Northern Kentucky University. Participants will learn about the principles and goals of EE, curriculum models, teaching strategies, classroom and community resources, outdoor education, and current research in EE. This is a 7-week online course that runs from Jan. 8 through Feb. 23.

Earn college (graduate or undergraduate) credit for participating in the 2018 WAEE Winter Workshop at Treehaven in Tomahawk, WI. The workshop will be held January 19-21, 2018 with the online add-on course running from 1/22/2018- 02/16/2018. The WAEE Winter Workshop theme will be EnCOMPASSing: Progress, Perspectives, and Possibilities in EE.

Join Dr. Kendra Liddicoat in an exploration of how surveys, observation forms, interviews, and focus groups can be used to evaluate education programs. This 3 credit graduate course is taught through the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and runs from 01/22/2018-05/11/2018.

Place Based Instructional Strategies for Environmental Educators is a 1 credit course taught through the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Course participants will investigate place-based Environmental Education, theory and application.
