Rochelle Strauss wants to change the world...one book at a time. An environmental educator and best-selling children’s author, Rochelle’s books focus on building environmental literacy. She uses her narratives to educate, inspire and empower young people to learn more and take environmental action. Her children’s books have won awards, been published internationally, translated globally and have been incorporated into curriculum in the US. Her most recent book, The Global Ocean is a UNESCO endorsed Ocean Decade Activity, and her previous book One Well: The Story of Water on Earth, was selected as part of the UN’s SDG Book Club in support of SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation.

Rochelle Strauss wants to change the world...one books at a time!

As an educator and best-selling author, Rochelle is dedicated to building environmental literacy. She is particularly passionate about using children’s books to educate, empower and inspire young people to learn more and take action. Her own environmental non-fiction children’s books have won several awards, been published internationally, translated globally and have been incorporated into curriculum in the US. Her most recent book, The Global Ocean is a UNESCO endorsed Ocean Decade Activity, and her previous book One Well: The Story of Water on Earth, was selected as part of the UN’s SDG Book Club in support of SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation.

Throughout her career, Rochelle has had the good fortune of developing and implementing a diversity of programs as well as working on projects and exhibits locally and globally. She’d worked with organizations such as IOC-UNESCO, The Royal Ontario Museum, Bruce Mau Design (BioMuseo Panama), Lord Cultural Resources, Girl Guides of Canada, The King’s Trust Canada (formerly Prince’s Trust Canada) and the Ontario Science Centre.
