I am an Interpretive Ranger at Oconee Station State Historic Site in South Carolina, where she brings local history, natural resources, and cultural heritage to life through engaging, hands-on experiences.I am passionate about making history accessible, connecting people to the places around them, and creating meaningful opportunities for visitors of all ages to learn, explore, and build a deeper appreciation for South Carolina’s parks and heritage.

My work as an Interpretive Ranger at Oconee Station State Historic Site allows me to bring together my interests in history, environmental education, and public engagement. I develop and lead programs for visitors of all ages, including school field trips, living history activities, ranger-led hikes, and special events. Some of my outreach includes Reading with a Ranger, which connects South Carolina students with state parks and local history, and creative interpretive projects like our annual Militia Elf scavenger hunt, which uses a little humor and curiosity to introduce visitors to the history of Oconee Station.

I am especially interested in making history approachable, encouraging people to connect with the natural and cultural resources around them, and finding creative ways to make learning memorable. Beyond my work at Oconee Station, I participate in professional development and statewide collaboration through South Carolina State Parks, including interpretation and ranger training, conference planning, and outdoor skills education. I enjoy sharing ideas with fellow interpreters and learning new ways to make parks meaningful places for education, exploration, and connection.
