My work focuses on biodiversity conservation and environmental education, with a particular emphasis on helping communities and young people develop a stronger understanding of their relationship with nature.

Since joining APASAT ONG, I have been involved in initiatives addressing biodiversity conservation, climate change and pollution. I initiated and lead the CPN APASAT environmental club, through which I facilitate environmental education sessions for children and young people in schools and churches. Between 2023 and 2024, these activities reached more than 2,000 students in 21 schools and 13 churches. The activities included awareness sessions on trees, waste management, wildlife conservation and climate adaptation, followed by practical actions such as tree planting, recycling, transforming plastic bottles into flower pots, and providing trash cans to schools. A total of 1,500 plants were planted and 15 kg of waste were collected.

I also work directly with communities living near protected areas, particularly around the Mono and Ouémé Biosphere Reserves. I have facilitated environmental education and community dialogue with more than 560 fishermen, farmers, hunters, traditional healers and women on human-wildlife coexistence, including coexistence with hippos and monkeys. These activities combine discussion, theatre workshops and practical solutions adapted to local realities.

Beyond environmental education, I contribute to project management, volunteer and trainee supervision, wildlife monitoring, and knowledge-sharing within my organization. I also mentor colleagues and volunteers in environmental education, project implementation and ecological wildlife monitoring.

My approach is grounded in listening, dialogue and practical action. I believe that environmental education becomes meaningful when people can connect knowledge to their own lives and participate in solutions.
