With a background in Elementary Education, Kevina Casaletto knows the need for connecting kids to the outdoor world and how important sparking curiosity can be in future ecological conservation and education.  After working for Nature Connect for several years she bought the North Carolina chapter, now Three Pines Project in 2024. Through her work with 3P they've been able to expand from predominanty homeschool participants to families, teens, and once a month programs for kids and teens in traditional schools. A passion project for Kevina has been providing monthly free meetups with partner agencies to get people connected to all the great spaces and orgs in Southeastern, NC. 

A long-time lover of longleaf, Kevina has always learn best through art. Her ecological embroidery being the spark that made the director of Nature Connect first reach out about facilitating. She especially loves bringing sewing to kids outdoors. As the body sit to stitch the animals come out and it becomes a stitching sit-spot! Her goal is to get kids excited about the unique ecosystems around them, especially the biodiversity of the longleaf savanah!
