Earth Day Initiative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the mainstream public into the environmental movement. We organize large-scale Earth Day events every spring and provide guidance and messaging for partners and communities across the country and around the world. Our Earth Day Virtual Stage broadcast has presents a range of conversations on sustainability and climate action and has included high-profile partners like Bill Nye, Al Gore, Elizabeth Warren, Robert Downey Jr, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Kyra Sedgwick, as well as experts and youth climate activists from Greta Thunberg's Fridays for Future and a broad range of partner organizations. Our Earth Day Festival in NYC is routinely the most high-traffic Earth Day event in the world each spring and brings together dozens of environmental nonprofits and climate campaigns to connect with the public. We also operate a year-round sustainability education program, a green-buildings publication, and a climate communications podcast. We have been regularly featured as sustainability experts by a variety of media outlets, including CNN, Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, PBS, the Guardian, the Washington Post, MSNBC, and the New York Times.
