I am a Program Coordinator at Sierra Outdoor School, with Clovis Unified School District. I grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York and earned my B.S. in Geology in 2014. I was lucky enough to have opportunities to study glaciers on the Juneau Icefield, paleo landslides in the southwest, and microplastic pollution in northeastern waterways. Soon after this I caught the Outdoor Education bug, packed up my car and drove out to California to become a naturalist intern at Sierra Outdoor School in 2015. This opened a new world for me as I had the privilege to work alongside incredible educators, soaking up their knowledge and developing my own teaching style. I have since worked for other outdoor schools in NY and CA before finding my way back to SOS where I now get to work with the next wave of outdoor educators - the Naturalist Interns! In my free time I love to go camping, get crafty, cross country ski, play the fiddle, find secret swimming holes, and go hiking with my super-mutt pup Banjo!
