Dav Yuan is the Program Manager for The Maui Digital Bus, a mobile science education program operated by the Maui Economic Development Board. For more than a decade, he has developed hands-on, place-based learning experiences for K–12 students across Maui County, blending science, Hawaiian culture, and environmental stewardship. Dav holds a Master of Science in Biology from Clemson University and is passionate about connecting students to the natural world through meaningful, real-world exploration.

Dav has dedicated his career to understanding how knowledge can be effectively shared across ages and communities. Since 2014, he has led The Digital Bus, a mobile science and culture education program now part of the Maui Economic Development Board, providing free, experiential learning opportunities to underrepresented students across Maui Nui.Trained as a biologist with a focus on animal behavior, Dav holds an undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a master’s degree from Clemson University. Over time, his passion shifted from collecting information to sharing it, leading him from outdoor guiding into education as a high school science teacher and eventually into program leadership. Outside of work, Dav enjoys photography, cooking, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors with his wife and young son.
