Interests
I am a senior in high school and am interested in pursuing a career in environmental literacy and research. I am doing a one year, 450 hour, apprenticeship at an Office of Environmental Literacy and Outdoor Education while also being a student. I am passionate about climate change and sustainability and have devoted my career to it. I want to major in environmental science in college next year and am very excited to grow my knowledge in the field.

I applied for the apprenticeship I am in now in August of 2025 because of my interest in environmental literacy. Also, I have been taking care of the recycling at my neighborhood beach for the last three years to prevent it from going in the landfill. I took AP environmental science last year and got a five on the test which made me want to pursue this career. I have participated in school cleanups with environmental club and invasive species removal in my neighborhood too. I participated in a two week internship about the chemistry behind coffee and am in the middle of publishing my results to the Journal of Emerging Scholars for Anne Arundel Community College. I have always been interested in science and I want to make a difference on the environment with my passion.
