Brenna has had the privilege of growing up between Milwaukee, Madison, the Northwoods, and the Driftless areas of Wisconsin, and she cares deeply about Wisconsin’s wild lands and waters. She is especially passionate about initiatives that call upon her deep understanding of environmental education, conservation work, collaborative partnerships, public outreach and communications to support every person’s right to reap the benefits of exploring, learning and recreating in these environments. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Museum Education from The George Washington University, with additional training in environmental and climate education. She has a passion for lifelong learning and is fueled by any activity that involves being outdoors with her husband and two young children. After many years directing the daily operations and long-term strategic projects of Aldo Leopold Nature Center, she is excited to be embarking on a new career path writing grants to support the work of the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin.
