I’m an experienced zoo and environmental education professional with a passion for creating exceptional educational experiences and a strong desire to grow as a leader in the field. Currently, I’m focused on increasing my leadership abilities and expanding my impact within the field. I’m actively seeking opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and networking to grow into a higher leadership role. As the Education Registration & Communication Manager at the Cincinnati Zoo since 2020, I ensure that every guest interaction is smooth and positive, from the first point of contact through to the program itself. I also manage a team of part-time education registrars, handling all aspects of program registration, ticket creation, and customer service.

My career spans nearly two decades, and I’ve had the opportunity to work in various leadership roles at several zoos. One of my proudest roles was serving as Director of Education at the Jackson Zoo, where I developed programs like Zoo Camp, Slumber Safaris, and a range of community outreach events. I also have a strong background in public relations, managing social media, press releases, and coordinating with schools to create impactful, zoo-based learning opportunities.

I enjoy managing teams and budgets, and I’ve always looked for ways to improve processes. From launching an enewsletter for over 7,000 subscribers to creating a faster system for revenue reporting, I’m committed to making things run more efficiently. I’m also passionate about community engagement and have built partnerships with schools to help low-income students gain access to zoo experiences.

I’ve been fortunate to gain international experience as well, working as the London Learning Manager for the Zoological Society of London, where I managed school visits and developed an education policy handbook that helped streamline communication across teams.
