My name is Anna and I am a 2nd year student at Colorado State University, studying Natural Resources Management. My favorite jobs I've had have been working as a camp counselor at a nature park, as well as building trails with the Conservation Corps. I enjoy anything outdoors and I love being able to share that with people.

I worked with School House of Wonder, a camp at Umpstead state park in North Carolina. I worked with kids aged 5-12 and in a group of around 25 kids with multiple other staff. Through this camp, we got to teach our campers about the environment at the park, wilderness activities, and just playing in the woods. What I really valued about this experience was how supportive the work environment was, and how passionate all the staff were.

The first conservation crews I worked with were with the Northwest Youth Corps. Here I built trails and worked on restoration projects and got to work with some wonderful people. This work helped me grow my confidence and capabilities in my work.

My most recent job was a 3-month crew with the American Conservation Experience working in the Grand Teton National Park on invasive species restoration, as well as native species reintroduction. Through this, I learned a lot about the National Parks system, as well as how to mix and apply herbicide.
