Research on the impact of EE and related pedagogies on ELA and Math outcomes

Is anyone aware of data on the impact of using EE and related pedagogies (like OE, PBE, IBE) on ELA and Math learning outcomes? I think most of us intuitively know that contextualizing learning in this way is beneficial for student engagement and therefore outcomes, but is there any hard data on it? Many of the teachers I work with have administrators who need convincing, and at the end of the day, impacts on ELA and Math scores are what they want to see.
