As Florida's violent legislation dominates headlines, LGBTQ2S+ communities are also on the frontlines of accelerating climate change. Can’t Stop Change: Queer Climate Stories from the Florida Frontlines weaves interviews with 14 LGBTQ2S+ artists, organizers, and educators across Florida (and the new Florida diaspora) into an intersectional climate justice narrative.

Can't Stop Change is a feature-length film from Queers 4 Climate Justice (@queers4climatejustice) and fiscally sponsored by OUT 4 Sustainability (@out4s). The film is both an educational resource that counters mainstream narratives about Florida and an organizing tool to support LGBTQ+ movements in Florida and beyond. The documentary has a 98-minute run time and is divided into 8 chapters with open captions in English and Spanish.

The film is currently available for educational and community screenings. Screening rights are available free of charge for groups based in Florida and can be booked through this Google form. For groups outside of Florida, screening rights are available through our Kinema page using a sliding scale fee structure based on organizational budget and expected audience size. No one is turned away for lack of funds; groups outside of Florida who need lower or no-cost screening rights should contact queerecoproject@gmail.com to discuss. 50% of screening fees support the film's impact campaign and 50% are placed into a mutual aid fund for film collaborators and their communities.
