The goal of Statistics in Schools Week, Day 3, is to highlight diversity in the classroom and make the connection to the census measuring diversity in our country. Students will explore the idea that although the census is a count of every individual, we all come together to form one nation.
The Wild Center's Youth Climate Program just released a revamped version of the Youth Climate Summit Toolkit, a free resource for locations around the world that are interested in hosting their own summit. The toolkit includes a step-by-step guide for framing a summit, organizing a planning team, partnering with youth, selecting speakers, fundraising, and making a summit fun!
Created by the Education team, this toolkit provides higher education (faculty and staff) curated access to resources and processes, organized to aid in teaching about and engaging students in exploring green careers and what it means to be a sustainability professional.
