TWM's Gear Down Workshop will enhance your knowledge of the Salish Sea marine ecosystem and is open to the general public. This workshop’s theme will be All Rivers Lead to Whales.

The University of Idaho fellows in Environmental Education and Science Communication earn a Master of Natural Resources through a unique combination of academic theory and hands-on practice. Living at the scenic McCall Field Campus, grads develop an array of professional skills and expertise. Applied coursework and targeted study in science communication, leadership, place-based education, and ecology, give grads what they need to earn a degree, make a difference, and find their place.

Teaching Climate Justice Teacher Course

A 4-week online course that gives all K–12 educators the opportunity to explore the important topics of climate change and environmental justice. Participants explore the fundamentals of climate change, the history of the environmental and climate justice movements, the inequitable impact of climate change on marginalized communities, and ideas and solutions for how to address climate justice. Upon completion, 12 hours of continuing education credit will be offered.

Teaching Extreme Weather Teacher Course

This course provides grades 6–12 science teachers with an opportunity to explore the driving forces behind extreme weather events occurring where they live, the relationship to climate change, and methods to address NGSS standards. Upon completion, 12 hours of continuing education credit will be offered.
