Exploring By The Seat of Your Pants

Exploring By The Seat of Your Pants is all about breaking down classroom walls to bring the very best in science, exploration and conservation live to kids around the world. Every month we partner with incredible people and groups in bringing 40+ exciting programs for free to classrooms and families across North America (exploringbytheseat.com).

Over the last few months, we've chatted with NASA Astronauts, elite cave divers, conservation groups on every continent and more - all archived on our Youtube channel for kids to watch and learn more from after we're done (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvQkEzcH9f_9OylEdmALiWg).

To wrap up the school year, we've got adventure stories of Arctic hikes, talks on epic storms, polar bears, jaguars and lemurs to name a few. All are free and allow for 6-7 full classrooms to join on camera - directly sharing their questions and having a conversation with experts live on screen! In 2021, we're setting off with a bang - not only running our typical slate of programs but also diving in with large scale festivals - focusing on Women in STEM (February), Climate Change (April) and Biodiversity (May) - all building off our first, the Global Biodiversity Festival we ran last May with 60 programs in 3 days all meant to raise money for conservation efforts worldwide (https://www.globalbiofest.com/).

In May too we'll be diving in headlong with the largest citizen science activation we've ever done - the BackyardBio campaign (https://www.backyardbio.net/) - stay tuned for more on it come the Spring!

All told, we're always looking to share the stories of our incredible partners with wider audiences and we hope you'll check us out and learn more so we can find ways to partner with you and your audiences too!
