Citizen Science and Sustained Engagement - The Crowd & The Cloud TV Series/Streaming

“Earth: The Operators’ Manual” is a wonderful resource that you may remember from a few years ago!  Now, Geoffrey Haines-Stiles and his colleagues have produced THE CROWD & THE CLOUD – which is to get a preview screening at the National Academy/Keck at 6pm, Weds March 15th.

C&C is the follow-on series to Earth: The Operators’ Manual. While all 4 programs promise to be super, please specifically look at, #4, Citizens4Earth. It specifically profiles several projects recording seasonal changes in plants and animals (birds, bees, butterflies, trees and more) and how regular folks, young and old, are capturing and sharing scientifically-valuable data.

Catch the programs on air or online - all will be streaming at CrowdAndCloud.org as of April 1 - but if you are in DC, check out the preview and RSVP. Pleased to say NASEM says free tickets are going fast! BTW, Waleed is co-chairing the NAS panel on Earth observations from space.
