From the World Resources Institute:

From electric buses to reforestation, job growth and regional development, the World Resources Institute examines how countries globally are "seizing the moment to rebuild" sustainably after COVID-19 in a recent article titled "How Emerging Economies Can Pursue Green Recoveries."

In its profile of Brazil, this article considers how Brazil is responding to increasingly extreme weather events and deforestation rates.

Likewise, the article looks at Indonesia's "opportunities and challenges in transitioning to a low-carbon economy" with the help of policy support for its national economic development plans.

At the end, the writers, Arief Wijaya, Carolina Genin, Helen Mountford, Ginette Walls and Egi Suarga, call for all countries to recognize this moment to "seize the opportunity to build a greener, fairer and more resilient future for all."
