Research Library: Education

Education outcomes include indicators of academic success, such as improvements in academic performance and engagement with learning. Education outcomes also include the building blocks of environmental literacy, such as increased awareness of community issues, positive attitudes towards environment, STEM skills, and critical thinking, all with an aim to empower people to become informed and active citizens. Education outcomes encompass programs that support professional development and effective education practices. These benefits can occur in formal classrooms (Pre-K to college), nonformal learning settings (such as zoos, museums, aquaria, and nature centers), or informal formats (such as nature play, socialization, or trail signage).
