The Darling Marine Center seeks a motivated and community focused person to write weekly news stories, lead tours, engage the local community, and create a positive and engaging residential student community on our campus located in Walpole, Maine along the shores of the Damariscotta River. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong passion for science communication, loves interacting with others both formally and informally, and has the desire to develop a positive intentional residential community at a busy marine science field station.

The University of Maine Darling Marine Center is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Science Communication & Residential Life Program Fellow. This 7 month, 35-hour a week position will have the fellow in the field working alongside researchers and students, while having the opportunity to develop a strong written and digital media portfolio.
