Earth Discovery Institute’s mission is to inspire stewardship of San Diego's native biodiversity through environmental education and conservation. Since its inception in 2008, EDI has partnered with public and private land management agencies to restore native habitats on conserved lands across San Diego County.
Earth Discovery Institute (EDI) is seeking a part-time Education Coordinator to support environmental education programs and events for students, families, and communities in the San Diego region. This is a new position that requires outdoor field trip support and indoor administrative responsibilities.
As Education Director, you will lead our long-running school-based field programs as well as our more recent efforts to engage whole families and communities in “education through recreation” opportunities, including sea kayaking and hiking. You will also have the opportunity to develop new educational programming aligned with your particular skills and interests.
The Earth Discovery Institute (earthdiscovery.org) is currently seeking a dynamic Executive Director who can strengthen, develop, and build upon the organization’s history to take the organization to the next level.
The ED is responsible for leading the administration, programs, staff, and strategic plan of the organization. Key duties of the Executive Director include fundraising, marketing, and participating with staff and board members in outreach to local communities and partners
