Job

Members will serve with Resource Conservation Department staff in the office and in the field on project sites focused on environmental restoration and agricultural conservation practices. The Restoration and Outreach Technician will increase the community impact of the District by supporting the direct implementation of conservation practices, recruiting and managing volunteers for restoration projects, and contributing to social media and outreach outlets.

Job

Members will primarily serve alongside the Education and Outreach Department staff in the classroom and informal education settings, as well as represent the District at outreach events at project sites or community events. The Education and Outreach Technician will increase the community impact of District programming by planning and delivering lessons for youth, coordinating educational opportunities, recruiting and managing volunteers, and contributing to communication materials.

Members will serve with the Research and Monitoring staff in the office and in the field on projects focused on environmental restoration and agricultural conservation practices, assessing the effectiveness of conservation best management practices on the landscape. Staff will be available to mentor and train the member on technical aspects of water quality monitoring, riparian restoration, and science communication strategies to engage the public.
