The Climate Education Pathways Grant is a localized climate change curriculum project funded by NSF and designed for biology and environmental science classrooms. We are looking for teachers to participate in the project with us.
BSCS Science Learning has an immediate opening for the position of Program Manager, Citizen & Community Science. We seek a creative, entrepreneurial individual to participate in partner recruitment and support for FieldScope, BSCS’s platform for citizen and community science.
Invitations to Inquiry are short instructional activities designed to help middle and high school students work with large data sets. The activities engage students with community and citizen science data from projects hosted on FieldScope. Teachers and students use the interactive FieldScope platform to collect, visualize, and analyze environmental data. With these new Inquiries, students can explore FieldScope’s advanced mapping and graphing tools to dig deeper into data in the context of meaningful science classroom lessons.
FieldScope is an interactive platform, run by BSCS Science Learning, which allows organizers of field studies to leverage sophisticated graphing and mapping tools to enhance existing and future citizen science projects. Participants of all ages and backgrounds can conveniently upload measurements, observations, and media to a shared project database.
