The Bird School Project offers 4-week Life Science Units focused on birdwatching in the schoolyard to students grades 5-8. Using core naturalist routines like field journaling, making direct observations, and developing and asking questions, we bring students on a learning journey that is accessible to them the moment they step outside. The Bird School Project works with 5,000 students in the Monterey Bay region each year.
Join an environmental education organization that is bridging the gap between outdoor school and the classroom! We are seeking a new program director to be based in Santa Cruz, CA, starting immediately, to help continue our work of bringing experiential natural science to schoolyards across the Monterey Bay area.
