Exhibit Facilitators monitor and interpret exhibits for guests, including opening and closing exhibits, periodic cleaning and resetting of components, and providing guests with educational interpretation of the exhibit content. Facilitators create a welcoming and safe environment for all guests to enjoy. Occasionally, Facilitators will lead basic science demonstrations during special events like Fernbank After Dark adult science nights, family Discover Days, and Museum Chills and Thrills evening events.

Summer Camp Counselors will work alongside Fernbank Museum’s permanent staff to implement an engaging and fun day camp for campers between 5 – 13 years old. Counselors will assist with science-related games and activities, camper management, and a variety of camp-related projects. Counselors act as positive role models for campers, encouraging them to grow and learn through challenges in a fun, safe, indoor and outdoor learning environment. Summer Camp Counselors will also help with other duties in the Education Department as needed. Summer Camp Counselors should be available to work set hours each day, Monday to Friday, between June 1 and July 31.

The School Programs Manager will oversee Fernbank Museum's preschool- 12th grade school and educator programs, including those conducted on-site as well as outreach opportunities. Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, developing resources and programs for students, creating and providing content for teachers, and developing school partnerships. The School Programs Manager will also co-lead the Museum's summer camp program.

The Public Programs Manager will develop, implement and coordinate educational programs and activities for various audiences, including adults, teens, children and families. Specific responsibilities include oversight for on-site and off-site public programming, family event day planning and the Fernbank Ultimate Naturalist (FUN) youth volunteer program. The Public Programs Manager will also co-manage Fernbank's annual summer camp program.

The Animal Care Coordinator will provide oversight for the Museum's live animal collection and conduct animal encounters and educational presentations for Fernbank visitors.
