The Naturalist is responsible for conducting a wide variety of environmental education, interpretive and outdoor recreation programs at Heller Nature Center, Rosewood Interpretive Center and other locations in the area; planning and direct Outdoor Adventure Camp, Sand Trackers and Hook, Line and Sinker camp and assist with the management of the center’s apiary and beekeepin
Under the supervision of the Heller Nature Center Manager and with direct supervision from the Naturalist/Program Supervisor, the Teams Course Facilitator is responsible for training, scheduling staff, coordinating and booking group and facilitating Heller's teams course, which includes teams, cooperative games, crate stacking and traveling teams.
Develop, plan, evaluate Heller's teams course, public programs, special events, scout and custom and birthday parties. Oversee summer camp and assist with Heller's apiary. Supervise and train staff and manage program budgets.
Assistant Directors will supervise 13 7th-9th graders on overnight campouts and outdoor adventures throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. Activities include rock climbing, white water rafting, ziplining, caving, hiking, overnight canoe trips, biking, fishing and more. Camp runs June 13-August 5 with additional opportunities available.
