Bok Tower Gardens is seeking an ideal candidate to develop and deliver a wide variety of fun educational programs for children and their families with a focus on Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden including free programs, drop-in programs, fee-based programs, youth volunteer programs, and other informal learning experiences. Enforce appropriate safety regulations. Train and help coordinate volunteers who will assist with these programs.
Develop, plan and teach educational programs and events for all ages including gardening, plant, environmental, history, cultural, art and multi-disciplinary programs. Work with BTG staff, volunteers, parents, and teachers. Coordinate, supervise, and train volunteers. Support the Youth Engagement Educator in implementing school field trip experiences.
Bok Tower Gardens is part of a growing movement connecting children to the natural world. Our 2.7-acre children’s garden, opening August 2016, will offer a place of hands-on fun, natural beauty and creative play to teach and inspire children.
Discovery Days Summer Camps offer an experiential learning curriculum fostering awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of natural and cultural resources by connecting children to food, culture and nature at the beautiful Bok Tower Gardens. The Summer Camp Coordinators will lead the day-to-day implementation of each camp session including the delivery of experiential programming and the care and supervision of the campers.
