The Audubon Society of Portland is hiring a part-time Education Animal Coordinator to join the Education Department and coordinate the organization's Education Animal Program including; volunteer management, animal handling and training, husbandry and enrichment, as well as scheduling and delivery of ambassador animal programs and community events. ​The job requires approximately 20 hours/week, weekend and seasonal evening hours, as well as off-site event management.

Applicants should have a passion for working with children and for cultivating each child’s personal connection to the natural world. Portland Audubon’s Environmental Educators work with diverse populations of youth, including youth of color, immigrants, and under-served youth. We are hiring for several positions to lead a combination of half-day, full-day, and overnight camps for youth ages 6-18.

The TALON program provides extensive training and employment for young people of color as they learn skills that will help them succeed in conservation professions. Community Camps provide hands-on, nature-based summer camps at no cost to participants.
