Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve (OWC) and the ODNR Office of Coastal Management is offering one undergraduate research internship in education and interpretation during summer 2019, pending position approval. Located in Huron, Ohio, on the south-central shore of Lake Erie, Old Woman Creek is one of the state's few remaining examples of a natural estuary. OWC is part of a network of 29 coastal reserves across the country.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Office of Coastal Management is accepting applications for the position of Coastal Wetland Natural Resources Technician at the Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve (OWC NERR) in Huron along Ohio's Lake Erie shore for the 2019 fieldwork season.
Provide visitor and customer service support and assist staff with implementation of research, education and stewardship programs. Job duties include answering phones, responding to public inquiries, orienting visitors to the Reserve, and issuing access permits.
