Crew leader positions are open within our youth program! Our programs provide young adults (11-18) with the opportunities and tools to build strong bonds with the community, increase academic success, and encourage healthy and productive lifestyles. The education component of Youth Corps consists of career development, leadership skills, environmental education, personal growth, drug and alcohol awareness, and civic and social responsibility.

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC), based in Steamboat Spring, Colorado has many open leadership positions for our Conservation Corps Crews and Youth Corps Crews for spring-fall 2022! RMYC educates, empowers, and employs youth and young adults to serve on conservation projects throughout Northwest Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.
The employee in this position will provide leadership, supervision, and support for multiple (3-4) crews of approximately 10 adults (18-25 years old) in a 24/7 crew setting during the summer and a non-24/7 hitch model in the Fall. Crews will work all throughout Northwest Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.
In Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC)’s Conservation Corps, we offer positions to young adults to spend a season serving on meaningful conservation projects throughout northwest Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. Projects may include a variety of trail construction/maintenance, fence construction/removal, invasive species removal, fire fuels reduction with chainsaws, habitat restoration and/or historic preservation work.

Stipend: $520 + Americorps Education Award
Natural Resource Internships partner directly with their host agency - either the US Forest Service (USFS) or the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to complete priority conservation projects.
