Flat Rock Brook Nature Association in Englewood, New Jersey is seeking a Director of Mission Operations (DMO) who is responsible for the oversight and operation of all program and land management activities at our 150 acre nature preserve. The DMO is expected to be knowledgeable in environmental education and land resource management activities, develop and maintain efficient operating systems, and manage a professional staff of educators and buildings and grounds staffers.
The Education Director is responsible for the development and implementation of environmental education activities at the 150 acre Flat Rock Brook Nature Center in Englewood, NJ. The Education Director is expected to be knowledgeable as a naturalist, be familiar with environmental education curriculum and work well with people of all ages and backgrounds. Starting date as soon as possible.
The Part-Time Environmental Educator position assists the Education Director with teaching natural science educational programs, developing curriculum, and taking care of resident animals, in addition to other related duties.
The Summer Camp Lead Teacher develops and delivers nature-based programs from late June to late August at Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, in Englewood, NJ. The Summer Camp Lead Teacher is responsible for the safety of all students under their care, and will supervise high school aged volunteers that support the camp.
Flat Rock Brook Nature Association is a 150 acre nonprofit Nature Center based in Englewood, New Jersey. The Land Manager position provides environmentally sustainable public access to our preserved property for scientific, recreational, and educational purposes and to protect the natural resources on our 150 acre preserved property for the benefit of current and future generations.
To help maintain Flat Rock Brook Nature Center's facilities, including our building structures, Picnic Area complex, and landscaped/forest areas throughout the preserve. Special care is to be taken to ensure the public’s safety while following best environmental practices.
