This is a seasonal position responsible for delivering environmental education classes for youth grades K-12 at Fortson 4-H Center in Hampton, GA, just south of Atlanta. The primary responsibility is to independently lead classes with a focus on ecology, team building, living history and outdoor skills. Other responsibilities involve animal care, maintenance of facilities and grounds, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.
This is as seasonal position (August 27, 2018 to May 24, 2019) as an environmental educator at Camp Jekyll located on Jekyll Island, Georgia. Seeking individuals with a commitment to education, a genuine interest in child development, dynamic personality, and well-developed communication skills. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree (education, natural science, environmental education, biology, forestry, outdoor education or related field preferred).
