The Seattle Aquarium is looking for two lead camp instructors (LCIs) to join the School & Public Programs team. The LCIs’ primary role is to lead and oversee all operations of their assigned camp sessions, carry out curriculum (created in advance) and lead the camp counselors, volunteers and children in their assigned camp sessions. These positions are expected to establish positive relationships with summer program staff, volunteers, interns, campers and families.
The Seattle Aquarium is looking for four camp counselors (CCs) to join the School & Public Programs team. Counselors carry out the daily procedures of camp while occasionally supporting the lead instructor in administrative tasks. They act as role models and mentors in marine science, conservation and empathy. CCs work with all ages of campers while leading groups of up to 11.

We are looking for two registrars to join the Seattle Aquarium’s school and public programs team! We are hiring one full-time position (up to 40 hours/week) and one part time (up to 30 hours/week). The registrar furthers the mission of the Seattle Aquarium, Inspiring Conservation of Our Marine Environment, by facilitating registration of our programs and events as well as disseminating reports and relevant information to internal departments.
The position will work with the public programs coordinator to instruct programs onsite and at local field sites, assist with the scheduling of staff and resources, act as a lead for seasonal staff and ensure the ongoing excellence of programs. In collaboration with team members and cross-departmental staff, this position will also play a key role in supporting the growth of programs and development of new public programs that meet our mission outcomes and fit the needs of our various audiences.

The PPC is responsible for the successful daily operations and development of all public programs (non-school related, family, children, teen and adult programming) within school and public programs.

The Seattle Aquarium is looking for five temporary marine science interpreters to join the Visitor Engagement team. Marine science interpreters are shift supervisors in the exhibits, leading our interpretation volunteers and engaging guests through formal interpretation and casual conversations. This position will primarily work daytime, interpretive, customer service and volunteer support shifts; will also work evening events.
