This position is varied and independent with room for creativity, but also holds many different responsibilities. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple moving parts is essential. Manage the Redfish Visitor Center & Gallery. Provide interpretive services (Junior Ranger, interpretive guided walks, school group talks etc.) to visitors. Supervise summer crew on day-to-day duties and provide regular program feedback.

Naturalists also staff trailhead portals and coordinate special events. Museum Docent is the supervisory position of the Historic Specialist. Both positions work five consecutive days at the historic Stanley Museum. They work together in order to tell the stories of Stanley to all the visitors who come through our doors, through interpretation, answering questions, and general information. Each position creates interpretive displays and other media for delivering interpretive messages, and conducting interpretive talks.

The lead naturalist is the direct, daily supervisor of five naturalists at the Redfish Visitor Center & Gallery. The lead provides interpretive services in various formats (Junior Ranger, guided walks, school talks, etc.), manages day-to-day naturalist duties, and provides regular program feedback. The position is incredibly varied/independent with room for creativity but also many responsibilities. Ability to manage multiple moving parts is essential.

The lead naturalist for the Sawtooth Association (SA) will be the direct supervisor to the other naturalists at both the Redfish Visitor Center and the Stanley Museum. The lead will also be providing interpretive services such as various programs (Junior Ranger, interpretive guided walks, etc.) to all visitors of the Sawtooth NRA. The lead naturalist will supervise the naturalists on day-to-day duties and will provide program feedback for naturalists.
