This position has duties in the education branch of the New Jersey Audubon mission. The Sustainability Ambassador Intern will gain knowledge and skills in sustainability and climate change by designing virtual environmental and sustainability lessons with a focus on topics that include biodiversity, reducing energy, sustainable foods, reducing consumption and waste and learning about watersheds.
The Summer Camp Teacher/Naturalist has duties primarily in the education branch of the NJ Audubon mission and provides hands-on activities, games, crafts and nature exploration in a camp setting. The Teacher Naturalist will work directly with the Program Director to develop and teach the programs.
Seasonal: June 24 to August 30, 2019. Full time 40 hours per week, 8:30 – 4:30 flexible as needed. Weekly commitment
Summer Camp Teacher Naturalist has duties in the education branch of the NJ Audubon (NJA) and provides hands-on activities, games, crafts and nature exploration in a school field trip and nature camp setting specific to Fishing, Reptiles/Amphibians and hiking and will work with the Lead Teacher Naturalist to develop and teach the programs.

Provide diverse nature and sustainability programs to school and public audiences throughout Southern New Jersey. School programs integrate S.T.E.M concepts with arts integration. This position works with children, adults and families exploring the natural and built environment in city parks, schoolyards, and community. . The Environmental Educator should be able to offer a unique point of view with regards to outdoor exploration and learning in the urban environment.
