The Institute is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Chef/Manager and play a key role in maintaining the exceptional standard of meal service that the Environmental Learning Center is known for. This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt position subject to a possible winter furlough (unpaid) of one to two months. North Cascades Institute seeks a skilled logistics coordinator, supervisor and educator to join our Youth Leadership team. The Coordinator will collaborate with an array of partners, including schools and public land management agencies to plan trip itineraries and recruit participants. The Manager is responsible for creating and managing NCI’s Adult and Family Programs (AdFam) suite of outdoor education programs that serve people of all ages; children, families and adults, throughout the year. The work location is at the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center on Diablo Lake.
North Cascades Institute seeks a qualified, enthusiastic professional Food Services Manager to lead our Kitchen Team. Based out of the Institute’s field campus in North Cascades National Park, this position supports food services at the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center, which serves up to 80 children and/or adults per day on a five to seven-day-a-week schedule. This position works closely with many Institute staff, partners and contractors to support a wide array of programs.
Based out of the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center in North Cascades National Park, the Program Instructor position functions as a professional member of our instructional team. This position primarily supports the Mountain School program in the fall and assists with other Institute programming throughout the 4-month Fall season. There is a possibility of returning to the position each year based on interest, experience, and program need. The work week for this position is Wednesday-Sunday (40 hours per week) with Mondays and Tuesdays off.
