4th Annual UL Innovative Education Award now accepting applications!

UL and the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) are excited to launch the fourth annual UL Innovative Education Award (ULIEA)! Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations in the United States and Canada who use innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) curricula to help K-12 students solve real-world environmental problems can apply to win up to $100,000.

UL, a global safety science leader, in collaboration with NAAEE, founded the ULIEA program in 2015 and have since awarded $750,000 to non-profit organizations. The ULIEA mission is to invest in and support youth engagement in local environmental issues, community engagement and encourages youth interest in engineering, technology, science and mathematics.

Eligible organizations must apply by February 21, 2018. Upon submission, a panel of environmental, science, research and technical experts will determine one grand-prize winner to receive $100,000; two second-tier winners to receive $50,000 each; and two third-tier winners to receive $25,000 each. Winners will be announced in August 2018.
