Engagement in Learning & Unique Objects

Museums have unique objects from specimens to planetariums that can engage learners in complex topics. How can educators use these objects to build deep engagement in topics? What methods are most successful in helping learners build personal connections and feelings towards topics? How does this create longer-term motivation and curiosity?

During this series, educators participate in activities to explore what learning research looks like in practice and use videos of themselves teaching to reflect upon and brainstorm ways to strengthen their interactions with learners.

This workshop series is part of the Reflecting on Practice program.
