Rio Doce Panel (RDP): IUCN was requested by the Renova Foundation in 2017 to establish an Independent Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel (ISTAP) that provides technical and scientific support to the Foundation for the restoration effort of the Rio Doce Basin, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, Brazil, as mandated in the Transaction and Conduct Adjustment Term, and described on Renova Foundation website. ISTAPs adhere to the principles of independence, transparency, accountability, and engagement. The Rio Doce Panel (RDP) was then established as a five-year initiative focused on the restoration of the Rio Doce Basin.
Summary: The U.S Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) will collaborate with multiple conservation partner organizations to assist with recruitment and administration of over 100 fellowship opportunities for the Directorate Resource Assistant Fellows Program (DFP). The DFP is an 11-week fellowship working on projects that support FWS conservation priorities. The 11-week fellowships begin in mid-May/mid-June 2020 and end in August/September 2020.
Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve, a field station of the University of Minnesota, is looking for 4 to 8 technicians to assist in our spring prescribed burn program. Job Duties:
• Prepping burn units.
• Assisting in burning the units.
• Monitoring and mopping up the units after burning.
• Fire road maintenance. Clearing brush and trees to make fire roads safer for burning and driving.
