Webinar for students around state efforts to address climate change

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is hosting a special webinar aimed at students grades 3 and up in honor of Earth Day. Please join us on April 14, 2022, at 1:00 pm to learn how EGLE is addressing the challenges of climate change in Michigan. You'll hear directly from EGLE's Director and EGLE's Office of Climate and Energy about what is happening at the state, community, and individual levels to address this challenge. You'll also hear from other EGLE staff working on climate change and find out what YOU can do to help.

Teachers, students, families, and individuals are all encouraged to attend. EGLE has developed recommended pre- and post-webinar activities for students to deepen learning about the topic, which are posted on the EGLE Classroom webpage at https://www.michigan.gov/EGLEclassroom

The webinar will also be recorded for those who can't attend but would like to watch or show in their classrooms later. Register to receive a recording link. Registration and further information is available at https://www.michigan.gov/EarthDay
