Tree Dreams - free tree tagging kits and lessons Great for Earth Day!

Are you looking for an engaging activity to get your students outside?

Are you wondering what to do for Earth Day with the challenge of virtual and in-person learners?

Here's an opportunity that I just found out about and plan to do with my middle school students!

The author of the award-winning novel TREE DREAMS, Kristin Kaye, received a grant that allows her to offer free Tree Dreams tree tag kits and standards-aligned lesson plans for K-12 teachers, environmental organizations and book groups.

There will also be a drawing for a Zoom visit with the author. Three winners will be selected on April 7, 2021.

I did this Tree Tag activity with 6th grade students for Earth Day. It was a "treemendous" success. We placed simpler messages about nature on tree tags near the lower school outdoor play area and more inspirational messages about trees and the environment around the upper school outdoor grounds.
